Are you an aspiring baker? Can you bake a mean pie, cookie or tart? Enter your Pie, Cookie or Tart in the Bradford Bakes Contest! Bradford Bakes coincides with the Town & Country Living Show: Saturday April 23rd, 2016.
We are inviting all amateur bakers to enter their tried and true pies, cookies and / or tarts. Amateurs are defined as one who does not prepare baked items for sale. You may enter one item per category, $10 + HST per entry, payment is due upon registration.
Rules: Item must be completely homemade, including but not limited to pie and tart pastry, any frosting or icing. If item contains nuts or nut products, you must state it on your entry form. You must name the item you’re bringing upon entry and prepare that specific item.
All entries must be brought to Bradford Bakes, upstairs in the auditorium by 10am sharp (doors open at 9am), Saturday 23rd, 2016. Items arriving later will not be accepted. All items will begin to be judged at 12 noon sharp (in order of pies, tarts & cookies) and will remain on display until the show closes at 5pm. Winners announcements will be at 3pm on the main stage.
Entries must be one full pie, minimum 3 tarts and minimum 6 cookies per their respective entries.
Please note: The table display will not be refrigerated. Should your pie, cookies or tarts require refrigeration, please make arrangements to accommodate your items while on display.
Prizes: First place and Second place ribbons will be awarded. Winners will be published in local media and via social media for bragging rights!
All proceeds from the Bradford Bakes Contest will be donated to the Bradford Helping Hands Food Bank.
