By joining the Bradford Board of Trade, you are adding your company to a network in the local business community.

We host events throughout the year. Business After Hours networking meetings to meet with other local business owners. Sourcing local resources for your business not only reduces your costs, it also solidifies your standing in the local community. People who do business together often refer to each other as well. We also host various seminars throughout the year to help educate our members learn about the latest trends and business needs in order to succeed. We also participate with various opportunities in partnership with the Town of BWG, Nottawasaga Futures, Simcoe County and more.

The pandemic has caused us (like so many others) to adjust our events. For 2022 we were unable to host our annual Bradford Home & Lifestyle Show in April. In response, we replaced it with our June event: ReDiscover BWG, which hosted vendors both in their bricks and mortar locations and on the Library West Lawn for the day. The annual Open For Business Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 12th, 2022 at our new location; Harbour View Golf & Country Club. Our flagship event, the Business Excellence Awards encourage local business and recognize excellence within our business community. The general public nominate local businesses for awards. Businesses are then judged on their own merits. The Awards themselves are presented at our annual Gala. An incredible night of formal dress, dinner, entertainment, dancing, celebration & recognition of the BWG Business Community.

Increase your exposure! Our members often offer Member-to-Member discounts for their services. Keeping business local, within the community. We offer many corporate discounts in partnership with the Canadian and Ontario Chambers of Commerce.

We have a very active social media presence where we promote our members and increase their exposure to the Bradford West Gwillimbury business community and potential customers. Members can send us their promotions for us to share, which will go on our website feed, Facebook and Twitter. We also offer our BBT Facebook Page cover photo to our members free of charge. Increasing your visibility! Duration of the post is dependent on the popularity of requests from our membership.

We also advocate on behalf of the BWG Business Community to local government. Let us know if you have concerns, roadblocks or challenges facing your business. With our extensive network, we’ll be able to put you in contact with the right people. We can also approach Town Council on your behalf and advocate for you. We are one of Ontario’s most rapidly growing communities. We have a seat on several committees throughout BWG. As well as weighing in on issues that impact businesses such as bylaws, grants, community planning and more. Your membership enables us to speak for the BWG Business Community. We’ll help you grow!

Responsible Cannabis Use

All Canadian employers must consider the impact of cannabis legalization on work-related activities and travel. The CannEd e-learning course educates employers and employees on cannabis facts, laws, and responsibilities.

With 17% of Canadians consuming cannabis according to Statistics Canada, it is important to educate staff to ensure safety at work, and decrease liabilities. The CannEd course allows employers to validate the information was reviewed and tested, as well as provide a company-specific cannabis policy at work.
